The Bay is split into East Bay and West Bay by the Peninsula which is home to vinyards, cherry farms, hops farms, great food, and the most amazing views you will ever see.
As far as homes go, there is something for everyone. There is Downtown which is centrally located and walk-able to all the food, parks, entertainment, and night life Traverse City has to offer. Head out the Peninsula for water front homes and developments with amazing views. If you are looking for something just outside of town and not on the Peninsula you can head into Long Lake Township, Garfield Township, Elmwood Township and all the other areas of Traverse City that offer larger lots and a short commute to town.

Hop on the TART trail for a bike or run, Dive into The Bay for a swim, paddle, or kayak and cruise up the Boardman River which runs directly through town. love to Ski? Great. When it comes right down to it, people love to head downtown to shop, eat, and have some drinks with friends. Traverse City's Downtown is simply stunning. It features the Historic State Theater, The Opera House, Beautiful Clinch Park where you can walk, swim, or just relax and take in the beauty. If you like fine dining, Traverse City has it. Make a Reservation at The Cook's House, Amical, or Georgina's. Looking for a local bar to catch a game and a beer with friends? Swing into U&I, Brady's or Dilinger's and Bootleggers.

Traverse City has you covered again. You will find something you love at North Peak, Mackinaw Brew Pub, Pangeas, Gaijin, or in the Summer head to The Little Fleet for a ton of options from all the Food Trucks.
Last but not least, Traverse City has great coffee spots. If you are looking for great coffee and great views you should pull up a chair at Morsels. Morsels overlooks both the Boardman RIver and The Bay. But there are others as well. Brew is also on Front Street, and Mundros is just a short drive or bike up Woodmere.
